Survivors Prepare for NBCC Annual ConferenceIts a busy week this week as members of Northern Ohio Breast Cancer Coalition Fund are preparing this week to attend the National
Breast Cancer Coalition's Annual Conference in Washington DC.
This year, we will have members from from all of northern
Ohio, including Sandusky and Toledo as well as some new members from the Canton area! They'll join those of us from northeast
Ohio/ Cuyahoga County area to embark on our favorite annual event.
National Breast Cancer Coalition's Annual Conference
is a great opportunity to recharge your batteries and learn about the latest in breast cancer research, as well as how to
make an impact in eradicating breast cancer and improving access to health care.
Among this year's topics will be:
"Breast Cancer Research in the 21st Century - Hope or Hype?", "Access to Quality Health Care", "Breast
Cancer Treatment - New & Emerging Therapies" and a special session on the Institute of Medicine's Report on Cancer
Survivorship.
Among those attending the conference are Geri Blair of Minority Women With Breast Cancer Uniting, Mirta
Karlak, Louise Williams and myself of NOBCCF and NOBCCF Trustee Margarita Concepcion.
