Northern Ohio Breast Cancer Coalition Fund is a 501 c 3 tax exempt, non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Registered as a charitable organization with the Ohio Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau, our federal tax ID number is 34-1933082.

The Coalition and its programs, including , are funded through individual donations. We don't receive government funding or support from United Way or other cancer organizations.

We manage our own fundraising events, but if you're interested in raising funds on our behalf, please contact us at 440-717-9912.

NOBCCF is a designated charity of the Greater Cleveland United Way.

Lee Spence Memorial Fund

It is with great sadness we share the news that long time member Lee Pappas Spence has passed away. Lee was a 3 time survivor of breast and ovarian cancer from Chagrin Falls, OH. Lee was an expert in the travel industry, heading up several boutique travel agencies over the years. As a passionate advocate for those facing a cancer diagnosis, she traveled to Washington DC to meet with Ohio legislators and promote initiatives for increasing breast cancer research funding and providing affordable, quality health care for all Americans.

Lee was especially passionate about health care reform. As a cancer survivor and business owner, she faced many obstacles in getting affordable health insurance. During the past few years, she was turned down for health coverage by all Ohio insurance companies because of her cancer history. As a result, Lee died with many medical bills. On behalf of her children, NOBCCF is asking for donations to help defray the cost of Lee's funeral expenses.
